DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll of 2011 has opened Print E-mail
The annual DJ Magazine Poll for the DJ Mag Top 100 list has opened, and Armada Music are hoping to score high results. All clubbers, dance lovers and party freaks must vote for their 5 favourite DJ's. Every year in October, DJ Mag publishes an overview of the most popular DJ's of that year, entirely based on votes. An average 300.000 global clubbers cast their vote every year. The poll opens July 27th and closes September 23rd. Results will be published during the DJ Mag Top 100 event, taking place on October 26th.

With 11 Armada DJ's featured in last year's Top 100, of which 4 in the Top 20, and many new upcoming talents, Dutch record label Armada Music is hoping for another successful result.

Last year, Armin van Buuren became the first DJ in the history of the DJ Mag to be 'the most popular DJ in the world' for 4 years in a row. The highest new entry was Dutch DJ Dash Berlin, who entered the Top 100 at number 15 and is currently working on a new album. In 2010, Markus Schulz kept his number 8 position for the third year running. Paul Oakenfold who joined Armada with his Perfecto label in 2010, became number 51. Dutch duo W&W, who are currently finalizing their debut album, made it to the list as new entries, at 71. Other Armada DJ's in the prestigious Top 100 of 2010 were Aly & Fila (20), Andy Moor (32), John O'Callaghan (33), Roger Shah (34), tyDi (56) and Myon & Shane 54 (62).
